“M” Family

November 26, 2009

I had so much doing their family pictures, although this little guy didn’t have so much fun with me!!  He cried most of the time but with some REALLY REALLY loud clapping we were able to get him to stop long enough to get some great shots!   Thanks guys!

Rocking the Off Camera Flash

November 24, 2009

Last month I went to Ali Hohn’s Rock Your Off Camera Flash workshop and loved it.  But the real test was seeing if we could recreate the dramatic lighting on our own…… So I went out with two of my photography friends Paige and Kerry and we played around with it.  I had fun, it was a good refresher, I know there is still a lot to improve on, but I don’t care – I still love them, I love the dramatic lighting effect!!  Thanks girls for a fun night!

Tara and Troy

Oh Tara, I love  you!!  Thanks for letting me do whatever I wanted with you guys!

Tegan

November 20, 2009

This little boy was so cute!  I love his chubby face and big blue eyes – and I also loved the fact that he just sat there!

This family touched my heart…..  The dad is getting ready to go in for chemo therapy and bone marrow transplants.  The love and unity between them was incredible.  I don’t think they had a serious bone in their bodies.  Their free spirits and energy was contagious and I had so so much fun doing their family pictures!  Suzanne, I feel like you are my long lost friend to!  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you love your sneak peek!!

Remember this picture:  Freak showing coming soon?  Well Suzanne is Jon’s (father of the triplets) sister.  We thought we were so funny and we were trying so hard to figure out where we could get all four of their kids to hang so we could do a hanging kid picture for them.  We tried a tree, that didn’t work, we tried having all four of them do handstands, that didn’t work, so we settled for two.  This picture is more of a joke for you Jon and Megan…. we hope you enjoy it!!

I told them to stagger and pose however they wanted and this is what they came up with…… should I be worried mom has a gun?  hehe

Leo, Jamie, Bella, and Nick

Holy cow, how cute are these kids? I love Nick’s smile, I couldn’t stop laughing at him, he is a little marshmellow with the BEST smile I’ve ever seen! I love this family not only because they ARE family but they are some of the most amazing people I know!  Thanks guys!

I had an amazing opportunity to go to the Rock Your OCF workshop with Ali Hohn.  She is amazing, extremely nice, and incredibly talented.  I learned so much and I would highly suggest her workshop!  Thanks Ali!!

Tytan

November 17, 2009

Okay, seriously Tytan is one of my favorite little boys to photograph!  He has been coming to me since he was 3 months old and here is is one year old picture.  I’m so glad I met his family.  This was also a re-shoot and they were so kind and understanding.  I love his eyes!  He makes my heart melt……. oh!

So, this family was my first RE-shoot and can I just say they were amazing….  I was so nervous because I felt like I lost all of my confidence when my equipment was stolen.  And little Annabella gave me a picture that she made for me, and it was one of those moments as a photographer, when you realize how LUCKY you are to have a career that allows you to meet such amazing families.  And little does Annabella know just how much confidence that restored in me, I’m so so grateful for families like this one!!  Okay, and can you believe how incredibly gorgeous this family is?  I’m still in awe!

Bethard’s Family

November 10, 2009

I helped Scott Jarvie do his annual FHHE Charity Shoot this year and one of the families that came was Aria’s!  I’m so glad I was able to meet her!  She has been so sweet and supportive to me during my whole camera theft drama.  She is also a great photographer, you can see her work here!
