First off, how stinkin cute is the name Easton for a little girl?  I LOVE it!  Amber is one of the family’s I met at Draper Days, I’m so glad she stopped by the booth and even more glad she booked a session!  Seriously, we did their session pretty fast and little Lillie was so good because she was so anxious to wear the tutu!  We learned something the night of this shoot:  Weeds are pricey in one particular county!  All Amber wanted was one cute family shot in the weeds so we drove to a new location about 10 minutes away from this urban spot and got some quick pic’s of Lillie …… but then we were approached and asked to pay $$ for shooting in the freaking WEEDS people….  so we drove down around the corner to more weeds, just to have a guy come running down his drive way to YELL “What do you think you are doing?”  He apparently thought we were dumping trash…. LOL!  So I’ve decided that I’m not going to mow my lawn anymore.  I’m letting my weeds grow and I won’t be stingy, if anyone wants to share them you, well you can  (sorry neighbors, but it’s for the business)!!  Okay Amber, hope you enjoy!  Look at Lillie’s little diva attitude!  Love it!

Ryleigh and Tanner

August 27, 2009

I love these two!  They had so much personality!  Little Tanner had so much energy, we could hardly get him to sit still and Ryleigh did so good at posing for us.  She really liked the hats and headbands we brought for her!  Congratulations on your upcoming baptism!

Baby “J”

Oh my goodness! I love this little guy, he had the cutest face!  He was mad at me the whole shoot!  It took us about 10 minutes to get him to relax in almost every position….. but that’s okay, when you are this cute you can do whatever you want!

Cheerleaders

August 23, 2009

Holy Cow!  This has been one of my favorite shoots to date for two reasons!  The Cheer Coach had the best ideas…. the lake, the mustang, the sand dunes, the prom dresses….I loved all of it!  And second, these girls were seriously some of the cutest and sweetest girls I have ever worked with!  They were so much fun and had a ton of energy!  Here are some group shots!  Hope you guys enjoy!  Thanks Cassidy and GO DH!!!

Here are some sneak peeks from the mini session up at Albion Basin.  Mother Nature sure had fun playing tricks on us that day!  For our first session – Steph’s family the clouds started rolling in and it was freezing!! The last 10 minutes of their session it rained so we finished it off under the trees!  The next session – Amber’s family showed up just as the clouds parted and we had pretty bright sun, but it was still cold.  For the third session – Jeni’s family, it was AWESOME!  The lighting was perfect, no rain showers….beautiful.  And then for the last session – Karen’s family (see post below)  It was thundering, and started to rain just as we finished.  It was CRAZY!  I have never changed my camera settings so much in one day!!  A lot of photographers have emailed me and asked how the mini sessions went…. my answer?  I LOVED it.  It was really fun to meet 4 great families in 4 hours, not have to drive in between locations, and we ended up with some great shots!  As we were driving down the canyon I started thinking about each one of the families that I had the privilege of meeting.  And this may sound a bit cheesy, but I had such a feeling of gratitude in my heart ~ these are the moments that I love about photography.  Each family was so different, they each had a different story, and each one was so special and so FUN to hang out with!  Thank you guys for doing the mini sessions and braving the crazy weather, and the canyon roads!  I hope you love the pic’s!

Meet Karen and her darling family!  You should really check out her blog:  Karen’s Tips!  I met her at Draper Day’s and she is one of those people that you instantly love!  Their session was the last one of the mini sessions and we finished just as the rain and lightening started (and I’m so super sorry that I made you guys stop talking – I was so worried about the rain )  Can anyone see why Parker stole my heart in a matter of seconds? DSC_2703blog

Madden

Oh how I love this little guy!  This is my best friend’s baby – Bethani don’t pee your pants!!!  These are the only sneak peaks you get!  Can you guess what color scheme we are doing for announcements?  Can’t wait!  Love ya girl thanks for having such a beautiful baby!!

Love this family!!!  They are my neighbors and they are the BEST neighbors anyone could ask for!  Shaina ROCKED her senior session with her clothes, make-up, and overall killer style!  Little miss tiana was a little heartbreaker in her princess baptism dress!  Okay, no they are not the ‘real twilight’ quileute boys but lets face it, who wouldn’t want to have a pack of wear-wolves for their neighbors?  Did I mention how sweet they are?

Jeff, Kim, and Kamryn

We had a lot of fun with this family and believe or not, it was a great shoot….. I think our bad luck streak is over!  Fingers crossed!  Look at how gorgeous Kamryn is?  She is so beautiful and photogenic – watch out mom!
